Spring 2018 Commencement Speaker Search—College of Letters, Arts, & Social Sciences (CLASS)
We are happy to announce that the College of Letters, Arts, & Social Sciences (CLASS) is offering a $500 stipend to a graduating student to develop and give a speech at the spring 2018 Graduation Ceremony!
Graduating undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Letters, Arts, & Social Sciences (CLASS) are invited to submit a proposed speech to be presented at the Spring 2018 College of Letters, Arts, & Social Sciences’ Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 12, 9:30 a.m.
To be eligible the student must have applied for Spring or Summer 2018 Graduation within the College of Letters, Arts, & Social Sciences.
- Speeches should be about 4-5 minutes in length, which is about 3-4 pages of double-spaced text.
- Proposed speeches should be submitted electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org
- MSWord or Rich Text Format, double-spaced, in 12-point Times New Roman font, with normal one-inch margins
- At the top of text please include full name, EKU ID number, major, expected degree, and department.
Submission deadline: Friday, March 23, 2018.
Finalists will be selected and informed no later than March 30, 2018. Interviews with finalists will be on Monday, April 2, between 3-5 pm.
