Women of Uzbekistan: A Photography Exhibition—November 1-30, 2016, EKU Crabbe Main Library

Enjoy a selection of photographs taken from the Inner Asian and Uralic National Resource Center (IAUNRC) at Indiana University. The photographs are the work of Zilola Saidova, an alumna of Indiana University’s School of Journalism, and her colleague, Shavkat Boltayev. They represent many aspects of everyday life in the former Soviet republic.

Chautauqua Theme: “Order and Chaos”

Eastern Kentucky University will take a fresh look at an age-old theme with its 2016-17 Chautauqua Lecture Series.

Sixteen distinguished scholars, critics, scientists, journalists, poets, artists and musicians will explore “Order and Chaos” throughout the academic year.

Two years ago, EKU Asian Studies was just a dream. Indeed, our minor/certificate program in Asian Studies was not in the EKU Undergraduate Catalog until August 2015.
