PRESENTATION: Douglas Wissing, “Hopeless but Optimistic: Journeying through America’s Endless War in Afghanistan”—March 02, 6 p.m.
On March 2, EKU will host a special guest lecture from Douglas Wissing (http://douglaswissing.com/biography/), an award-winning journalist, author, and independent scholar who will speak about his experiences embedded with U.S. military forces in Afghanistan. The experiences were detailed in his book Hopeless but Optimistic: Journeying through America’s Endless War in Afghanistan (http://douglaswissing.com/books/hopeless-but-optimistic/overview).
Refreshments will be served. The event, free and open to all EKU students, faculty and staff, is sponsored by the EKU Department of Government and Economics, the Inner Asian and Uralic National Resource Center at Indiana University, the EKU-led BGS IC CAE, and the EKU Asian Studies Program.
